The MLB season is long.
Teams play 162 games over a span of five months with an additional two months of Spring Training on top of that. That’s not to mention all of the different travel that occurs during those months too.
Players are inevitably going to miss time due to injury or simply just to rest.
The Cleveland Guardians were no stranger to having players out for significant time during the 2023 season, but they did have a couple of ironmen on the roster too. Someone who is in the lineup just about every day.
That’s Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez.
Kwan only missed four games throughout the entirety of the 2023 season. The games played were the most on the Guardians he was one of nine players in the American League to play 158 games or more during the 2023 season.
