Fifth year defensive end Jahfari Harvey intends to transfer once the window is open on December 4.

A five game starter in 2023, Harvey has notched over 1400 snaps over the course of his career, dating back to the 2019 season. After a redshirt as a true freshman and a COVID year in 2020, the 6-foot-4, 252-pounder has one more year of eligibility.

In that span, Harvey totaled 18 starts for Miami and accumulated 10.5 sacks and 22 sacks while generating 73 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.

In 2023, Harvey was credited with one sack and 2.5 tackles for loss. His best game as a pass rusher came against Texas A&M when the veteran totaled five pressures. In the season finale against Boston College, Harvey played 11 snaps and earned a strong 85.3 defensive grade and a 73.8 run defense grade. Both were season-highs despite the limited playing time.

The biggest moment in Harvey’s career came during the 2021 season when Harvey returned a Sam Howell interception for a touchdown in a 45-42 loss to North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

The 2024 transfer portal cycle is expected to be the busiest and most chaotic ever and 247Sports and InsideTheU will be covering every angle of it over the course of the 30-day window.

It sounds like one of Miami’s top defensive targets is keeping an open mind about the Hurricanes

Miami will grind to the bone when it comes to the talent acquisition process.

There are multiple prospects that Mario Cristobal and his staff plan to work to add to the class over the next four weeks, but there is one in particular who the Hurricanes certainly don’t seem totally out on.

Rivalry week across college football was such a tease, but in the end, only three nationally-ranked teams lost and only one — previously unbeaten Ohio State — was in the middle of the playoff race. That means updated bowl projections after the regular season feature significant changes outside of the New Year’s Six, but not in the final four race.

Four teams control of their own playoff destiny — Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Florida State— along with four other one-loss titans respectfully still in the conversation. There’s still a good bit of moving and shaking to be had in the New Year’s Six with the committee’s Tuesday penultimate rankings coming out.

The NCAA rejected postseason waiver requests this month JMU and Jacksonville State. However, the Dukes and Gamecocks could still receive a bowl bid if there are not enough bowl-eligible teams to fill 82 slots and coming out of the final weekend, only 79 programs hit the necessary plateau. We expect JMU and Jacksonville State to appear in bowls next month.

Through team site sources and reporting, here are bowl projections heading into the final week of the regular season:
