The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been trending up in the past couple of days. After flipping quarterback Dylan Raiola from Georgia, head coach Matt Rhule flipped another player from a Big Ten rival. Three-star cornerback Larry Tarver announced he has changed his commitment from Maryland to Nebraska.

Players are starting to sense that there is something special brewing in Lincoln. Tarver took a visit to Nebraska in late October and he must have been impressed. He had this to say in a statement.
“I chose Nebraska because of the staff, the players, the love they have shown and how loyal they have been to me,” Tarver told On3. “Before and after the visit, they have shown love and been loyal. That has shown me how much they want me.”
“I have only been there once on my official visit and it was great. Their facilities are amazing and I love the relationships I have with Coach Coop and Coach Phillips. They are always calling me, texting me and they have been trying to flip me for a while. How they recruited me paid off.”
Potential For A Legacy
Nebraska’s last national championship was in 1997. While they have had some promising teams, they have never gotten close since. Whatever team brings the Cornhuskers back to relevance will be legends in Lincoln. Players are aware of this as Raiola talked about it when he flipped his commitment. Tarver felt right at home but I’m sure the legacy aspect is a part of the pitch that coaches are giving to players.
Can the Nebraska Cornhuskers get back to being a perennial contender? They have had some good momentum so far and look to continue it moving forward.
