Auburn on Saturday picked up a commitment from a talented lineman from the state of Georgia.
Parker Pritchett, a 3-star offensive lineman from Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia, has pledged to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers. He made the announcement via a post on X:
Pritchett is considered the No. 55 interior offensive lineman in the country, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He joins a 2026 class that now includes 7 players, including Jemison (Ala.) product Hezekiah Harris, the country’s No. 11 edge rusher, and New Orleans’ JaMichael Garrett, the No. 8-ranked linebacker. Pritchett is the first offensive lineman of the class to commit.
Auburn itself is looking to make the jump after a pair of disappointing seasons under Freeze. The Tigers finished 2023 with a 6-7 mark, including a loss in the Music City Bowl. In 2024, they slipped to 5-7 and missed the postseason.
However, the 2025 high school recruiting class is a solid one: it was ranked No. 6 in the country and is headlined by Malik Autry, the No. 4 defensive lineman nationally. The Tigers also added quarterback Jackson Arnold (Oklahoma) in the offseason as they looked to address probably the biggest of a list of major needs.
