After receiving a scholarship to play at Michigan just a few days ago, one of the recruiting industry’s top insiders is predicting this dual-threat QB from the state of Ohio to play his college football in Ann Arbor:

The Michigan Wolverines threw their hat into the ring for the recruitment of 2026 three-star quarterback Nathan Bernhard, who was offered after a recent unofficial visit.

Just a couple days after landing the offer, On3’s Steve Wiltfong cast a prediction for Bernhard to end up committing to Michigan.

“It’s big time,” Bernhard told Wiltfong ($) about the offer. “Grew up around the rivalry and it was a big part of my childhood.

“Excited about the relationships I’ve built with the staff there and am excited to see how this develops in the next days and weeks.”

Bernhard also told Wiltfong that he and Lindsey “click well,” and that he was able to meet with head coach Sherrone Moore and general manager Sean Magee during his trip. After that visit, the Wolverines “definitely have the upper hand on anyone else.”

Wiltfong wrote that Bernhard could make a decision in the near future, so Michigan very well could land its 2026 quarterback sooner rather than later.

The 6-foot-5, 227-pound Bernahrd plays high school ball at Ashland High School in Ohio. Last season, Bernhard completed 181-of-299 passes for 2,895 yards, 24 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also ran 206 times for 1,221 yards and 22 touchdowns, showing off his dual-threat abilities.

Other than the Wolverines, Bernhard holds other offers from Penn State, Michigan State, Indiana, Louisville, Iowa State and more.
