On Sunday, the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens will put it all on the line at M&T Bank Stadium when the team plays host to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, with high hopes of winning the game and advancing to the Super Bowl for the first time in the Lamar Jackson era.
Ahead of the clash with the Chiefs on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game, all eyes will be on the health of the Ravens and a couple of key players who might be able to return to the field and help the team advance to the big game in Las Vegas next month.
Fortunately for Baltimore, the team was able to get by a hungry and motivated Houston Texans team last week in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs, even though they had some notable names not on the field.
Even though it seemed like star tight end Mark Andrews would make his return last week, it looks more like it will be this weekend that he gets back on the gridiron for the Ravens, as he practiced fully on Wednesday while cornerback Marlon Humphrey was a limited participant, according to the team’s Twitter account.
Del’Shawn Phillips, Tylan Wallace, Rock Ya-Sin, and Kevin Zeitler joined those two stars on the injury report.
If Andrews and Humphrey are able to get back in the fold for Baltimore, the Ravens will drastically improve on both sides of the football, which only improves their chances of being Super Bowl-bound.
Andrews is arguably one of the best tight ends in the game today, while Humphrey remains a top corner in the NFL.
