BREAKING NEWS!! Top NFL Insider leaks vital information following Seahawks coach search.

The Seattle Seahawks search for a head coach seems to be drawing to a close as they interview two of the hottest assistants currently available.

The Seahawks reportedly are set to interview Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald on Tuesday. The news regarding Macdonald comes after the Seahawks conducted a second interview with Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson on Monday.

Johnson and Macdonald became available for interviews after their respective teams were eliminated in the conference championship games on Sunday.

Once the Seahawks finish with Macdonald, there are reports the team could make a decision on the successor to Pete Carroll in the very near future.

Macdonald, 36, will have his first interview with the Seahawks. Macdonald led the Ravens’ defense that led the NFL in points allowed (16.5), sacks (60) and takeaways (31). Johnson, 37, had his second interview with the Seahawks. Johnson was the architect behind a Lions’ offense that finished third in total yards and fifth in scoring during the season.

Both Macdonald and Johnson are two of the most sought-after candidates in this hiring cycle, and the Seahawks may need to move quickly if they desire either candidate.

The Washington Commanders, the only other team still looking for a head coach, interviewed Macdonald on Monday and reportedly are scheduled to interview with the Commanders on Tuesday.

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn had a second interview with the Seahawks last week. Quinn was the defensive coordinator with the Seahawks under Carroll during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

The Seahawks have also conducted interviews with New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.

Quinn, Johnson and Macdonald are considered the top-three candidates.
