UPDATE: Sooners head coach has been called before NCAA judges after revealing private information on the Illustrated Podcast.

Sooners Illustrated’s Josh Callaway and Collin Kennedy recap 2024 National Signing Day with their “Signing Day Superlatives,” go through some other recruiting news and notes and break down Oklahoma’s big win over No. 21 BYU on Tuesday night at the Lloyd Noble Center.

On the heels of National Signing Day, the Sooners Illustrated Podcast is back with a brand new episode.

To put the finishing touches on Oklahoma’s 2024 recruiting class, host Josh Callaway and analyst Collin Kennedy hit their “Signing Day Superlatives” including class MVP, biggest get of the class, who is the most ready to contribute right away, the most underrated player, who they are the most excited about and who is flying under the radar.

Callaway then enlists Kennedy to hit on some other recruiting news and notes, including his evaluation of recent 2025 offensive line commit Ryan Fodje.

“Oklahoma was the first to offer Ryan Fodje,” Kennedy said. “And he committed just like ‘If you’ll have me, I’m ready to commit.’ I don’t want to call it a surprise, but it was a welcomed addition from (the Junior Day) weekend.”

“The front line talent in (Texas) across the offensive line, across the state, is ridiculous in 2025 – and Ryan Fodje is part of that. He is a highest-graded 3-star of an 89 currently, and that’s an early assignment, so I think this is definitely a guy who is going to climb into 4-star territory.”

Kennedy then hit on some other intel coming out of another big visit weekend before the staff turned their attention to the hardwood and Oklahoma’s big win over No. 21 BYU on Tuesday night at the Lloyd Noble Center.

“(Oklahoma) needed that game really badly,” Callaway said. “The weekend in Orlando (against UCF) went very poorly, especially on the offensive end, and they came back and put up 82. Javian McCollum played really well, scored 20 points. They got a huge bounce back game from Milos Uzan, which they really needed.”

“That’s actually their best win, metrically, of the season. It’s a Quad 1 win with BYU No. 7 in the NET coming into the game.”
