The Oklahoma City Thunder have seen another 16-win leap, but their bench boss Mark Daigneault boils it down to a simple, yet complex, reason why.
The Oklahoma City Thunder held their final practice of the regular season on Saturday ahead of game 82 against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. Fresh off win no. 56 this season, the Thunder have yet again made a 16-win improvement. It is uncommon for teams to take leaps of this magnitude, but Daigneault has a simple reason.
Stacking days has been a company line of sorts, but it makes sense. You have to build on each success and learn from each setback, and surprisingly, this young team has been able to do that.
At practice, Daigneault was asked how such a young team is able to stack days and not get bored of the process “We have a young team, but I think we have uncommon people,” The Thunder bench boss said.
