Luis Sinisterra boost?

With the 49ers Enterprises takeover finally completed, supporters’ attention will now firmly move to the transfer market. While fans will be desperate to get new faces in, being able to hang on to some of the club’s key players could be just as important in their push for promotion this season.

Luis Sinisterra played in last week’s first pre-season friendly against Manchester United and according to the Colombian edition of AS, he could be set to stay at the club this season.

They report that Daniel Farke’s ‘vote of confidence’ in the winger could be a key factor in keeping him, while the 24-year-old’s injury record last season could mean that suitors – including AC Milan – could be put off paying the kind of fee that Leeds would want from him.

New chairman Paraag Marathe was quizzed on keeping their in-demand players in his LUTV interview, saying ‘we’re trying to, we’re doing our best’.

Marathe’s transfer pledge

Paraag Marathe has vowed to give Leeds United boss Daniel Farke ‘all the resources he needs off the pitch’ while outlining the club’s plans for the summer window. The Whites chairman has been in the role for several weeks, but his appointment has now been confirmed after the EFL ratified the takeover by the 49ers Enterprises on Monday.

Outgoings has been the order of business at Elland Road so far as Leeds look to balance the books following Premier League relegation. Rodrigo has secured a lucrative move to Qatari outfit Al-Rayyan, while the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Robin Koch and Marc Roca have made loan moves away with the view to permanent exits.

Ethan Ampadu is seemingly set to become the first signing of the new era, with multiple reports stating United have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the versatile defender. Marathe has confirmed the new ownership group’s intent to ‘go as strong as possible’ in order to give Farke and his squad the best chance of earning a swift top-flight return.
