Things are going to start heating up with recruiting for the Class of 2025 for Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry. He has a lot of visits scheduled over the next couple of months in Blacksburg looking to add to the current commits he already has in the class, with most of them coming from the state of Virginia.
One player that Virginia Tech has offered announced that he will be making his decision and commitment Friday night at 7 o’clock CT.
Sam Haley to make commitment Friday night
Three-star Class of 2025 linebacker Sam Haley announced on his X page that he will make his commitment Friday night. The Hokies are one of the eight finalists on a list that also includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, TCU, West Virginia, Missouri, and Michigan State.
Haley, from Nashville, Tennessee, plays at Ensworth High School, and is 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds. According to On3 Sports, TCU is the heavy favorite to land him, while 247Sports also has TCU as the leader for him.
Currently Virginia Tech has a commitment from four-star linebacker Brett Clatterbaugh from Virginia and Knahlij Harrell a cornerback from Virginia Beach on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, offensive line Carter Stallard from Christiansburg and wide receiver Jayden Anderson from Virginia Tech have committed, along with quarterback Kelden Ryan from DeSoto, Texas.
Malik Washington, a quarterback from Maryland, is reportedly “very high” on Virginia Tech in the Class of 2025, while five-star safety and a clear priority, Faheem Delane, younger brother of current Hokie Mansoor, has also visited and should make a decision soon.
