Everton handed boost in pursuit of Manchester United ace Amad Diallo amid loan decision.

Everton have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Manchester United ace Amad Diallo as the Red Devils want to send the youngster on loan to a Premier League club, according to The Athletic.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Championship club Sunderland, where he registered tallies of 14 goals and three assists from his 39 matches, which included the play-offs.

The Toffees are one of many Premier League clubs showing an interest in the young attacker, according to The Northern Echo (4 June).

“The most likely scenario, as it stands, is for Erik ten Hag to assess Amad during pre-season and perhaps send him on loan to another Premier League club,” according to The Athletic.

“United are conscious it is a major step to go from performing in the Championship to playing regularly at Old Trafford and feel a season of development in the top flight may be most prudent.”

Everton will definitely find themselves in a battle with other top flight clubs for Diallo’s services on a temporary basis next season, with the Manchester United ace certainly a good option for many teams towards the lower end of the table.

The Merseyside outfit could, however, be the one club that really pushes for the move, primarily because of their financial situation.

Everton’s issues in that area have been well documented in recent times, with the Toffees perhaps needing to force through some senior sales this summer in order to raise some much-needed funds.

But loan moves would be welcomed, with the club then not forced to fork out huge sums of money to bring new faces to Goodison Park for the new campaign.

It would also be welcomed from a Manchester United perspective, with one of their talented youngsters testing himself in tough conditions in the Premier League, as opposed to perhaps taking the easier way out by moving to the Championship once again.
