Daniel Farke’s Leeds United reportedly wanted to sign Luke Thomas from Leicester City, but he has moved to Sheffield United instead.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds United were interested in signing Luke Thomas from Championship rivals Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Leeds were “keen on a move” for the left-back.
The West Yorkshire club made an offer to Leicester for the 22-year-old left-back.
The former Premier League champions turned it down.

According to TEAMtalk, Leicester ddid not want to send Thomas to a Championship rival.
Both Leeds and Leicester are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
And both the clubs are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League
TEAMtalk reported that Leicester decided to sanction a loan exit for Thomas to Sheffield United, who are playing in the top flight of English football this season after winning promotion from the Premier League.
The 22-year-old left-back is under contract at Leicester until the summer of 2024.
We are not surprised to hear that Leicester did not want to send Thomas to Leeds.
Leeds are looking for a new left-back, and Leicester will surely not want to make a promotion rival stronger.
Thomas seems pleased to have moved to the Blades.
The youngster told United’s official website after completing the loan move: “When United came in a few days ago, it was an easy decision for me. Coming back to playing Premier League football is obviously what I wanted to do. Coming here is a great experience and I can’t wait to get started.
“I had interest elsewhere at the time but then United came along and it was an easy decision like I say – a no brainer really. I can’t wait to get going.
“I think this is a huge moment. Getting game time and getting into the team here is a key thing for me. I want to be playing as many games as possible, especially in the Premier League, my career has gone well so far, I’ve won a few things, so hopefully I can continue that here.”
