Dion Dublin has backed Brennan Johnson to be a big success at Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur following his move from Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham Hotspur signed Brennan Johnson from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs paid Forest £47.5 million in transfer fees for Johnson.

The 22-year-old Wales international forward signed a six-year contract with the North London club.

Former Manchester United player and BBC Sport pundit Dion Dublin believes that Johnson will be a massive player for Spurs.

Brennan Johnson backed for Tottenham Hotspur success

Dublin said about Tottenham and Johnson on BBC Sport: “Very, very, late piece of business but it is a great deal, and I think he has got so much more to give.

“He did so well at Forest that I think he is just going to go on and on and on.

“Spurs will suit him perfectly.”

Brennan Johnson could thrive at Spurs

In our view, Brennan Johnson could be a huge success story at Tottenham Hotspur.

Johnson is only 22 now and has already shown just how good he is.

The forward did extremely well in the Championship with Forest and then carried that form in the Premier League last season.

The Wales international is a very versatile player who can play across the frontline.

Johnson has made 41 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The youngster has scored eight goals and given three assists in those games.
