Joe Rodon has received plenty of praise for his composed defensive showing in Leeds United’s win over Millwall on Sunday
Rodon will be trying to restart his career at Leeds while on loan from Tottenham, where he hasn’t received much attention since joining the club three years ago.
While the center back’s loan stint at Rennes last season did not go as planned, he has appeared to be off to a solid start at Elland Road.
The Wales international got the start for Daniel Farke’s team at The Den as they earned a crucial 3-0 success, the Whites’ second triumph in the Championship in six games.
The game was much more closely contested than it appears, with Leeds having to defend a 1-0 lead until the 77th minute before a couple of late strikes saw them put the game beyond the home side.
Leeds United’s Joe Rodon was named Man of the Match.
Former Leeds defender Jon Newsome, who is now a Spurs player on loan, praised Rodon’s performance and called it “outstanding.”
He revealed to BBC Radio Leeds. “Outstanding. Outstanding in every way. For me, Joe Rodon was the Man of the Match. He was in everything with his head. was a unique class. Was really, truly.”

Since he hasn’t played much football lately, Rodon did have a rough start to the season, but the center-back now seems to be finding his rhythm and displaying the same level of talent we saw from him at Swansea.
