Arsenal ‘turn attention to renewing Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ben White deals
After secured Martin Odegaard’s long-term future, Arsenal is allegedly poised to start contract negotiations with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White.
Odegaard signed a new contract with the club on Friday, extending his stay until the summer of 2028, the Gunners revealed on Friday.
The club’s highest-paid player is now apparently Arsenal’s captain, who was the most recent first-team player to commit his long-term future to the Gunners.
During the previous calendar year, Arsenal signed new contracts with Gabriel Magalhaes, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, and Reiss Nelson.
Arsenal will now focus on ensuring the long-term futures of Zinchenko and White, according to Football Insider.
Zinchenko’s contract with Manchester City has three years remaining to run after he moved there permanently last summer.
The Gunners want to offer the Ukraine international a contract that fits his role at the club since he has developed into a crucial part of Arteta’s team.
Zinchenko has made 38 appearances across all competitions since joining the North London team, with one goal and two assists.
White, an Arsenal teammate, also has a contract that runs until June 2026. He agreed to a five-year agreement when he joined the club from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021.
