Benoit Badiashile’s latest Instagram post suggests he could be back in action for Chelsea soon.
The Blues have been without Benoit Badiashile this season after an injury the central defender picked up at the end of the last campaign.
However, it looks like Badiashile is closing in on a return, with the 22-year-old posting a picture of himself in training yesterday on Instagram.
He captioned it: “Back at it!”
Chelsea fans will be glad to have Badiashile back because the Blues have watched so many of their players pick up injuries recently.
That includes Badiashile’s France team-mates Christopher Nkunku and Wesley Fofana, who are also yet to play a game this season.
Nkunku and Fofana will not be available for the Arsenal game on Saturday, but it now looks like Badiashile could at least make the bench.
Mauricio Pochettino does have Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill, though, so there is no need to rush the former AS Monaco man back.
Chelsea take on Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup at the start of November. Perhaps that would be a more appropriate game for Badiashile to start in.
It would be a disaster if the Blues brought the France international back too soon and he got injured again. With all of their fitness issues right now, the last thing that they want to do is start causing their own problems.
Considering that, while he may be included in the matchday squad, it would be a surprise if Pochettino started Badiashile against Arsenal.
