Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly struggling to sign Ajax talent Mohammed Kudus, with Liverpool also chasing the 22-year-old forward.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ghana international remains a top target for the Seagulls. However, Brighton are making little progress in their attempt to sign Kudus, with a deal believed to be difficult given how much power Ajax have in such a transfer.

Valued at just £40m according to the Athletic, Kudus is one of Ajax’s most exciting talents. And as a result, the youngster is now wanted by an array of Premier League sides, with Football Transfers recently claiming that Liverpool are eyeing the Eredivisie star as an alternative to Mason Mount.

Indeed, Brighton’s interest in Kudus could have been viewed as a huge warning sign for Liverpool. However, after this latest update, there’s a good chance that the Reds could now have a real shot at landing the African superstar, who could be keen on a move to Anfield.

Brighton could hand Kudus to Liverpool at this current rate

Kudus is a player who looks primed for a Premier League move. And although Brighton could be an ideal destination for the Ghanaian, Liverpool could arguably be even better for the youngster, with this latest update seemingly a blow for the Seagulls.

As we know, Brighton are now struggling with Ajax to secure Kudus’ signature. And for Liverpool, this could now act as a signal to make their own move for the forward, who could be a sensational addition for Jurgen Klopp’s side given his versatility and his incredible potential.
