Sheffield Wednesday defeated QPR 2-1 yesterday and after the game, Dom Howson picked Anthony Musaba out for some praise. The Dutch performer struck deep into stoppage time to give the Owls a huge victory.
It was a hardworking performance from Wednesday as they edged closer to the safety zone in the Championship. Bailey Cadamarteri equalised with four minutes remaining and then Musaba took centre stage.
Musaba signed for the Owls from Monaco during the summer transfer window. It was an intriguing signing made by Xisco Munoz and crucially, the previous manager couldn’t really get a tune out of him.
Howson raves about Musaba
The journalist who writes for Reach PLC is often a man who knows his stuff about Wednesday. After yesterday’s game, he had some praise for Musaba after his match-winning moment.
He said on X: “The best signing #SWFC made in the summer transfer window? Hands down Anthony Musaba. That’s now four goals for him this season. Still only 23 so should get even better. Him and Cadamarteri are the future.”
Musaba’s four goals represent a first campaign in England that has seen him enjoy some success. There will be more to come from the tricky winger and if he keeps scoring his confidence should go through the roof.
Musaba can really go places with Wednesday
Landing the Dutchman does look like a more inspired signing with each passing week. He’s starting to showcase his true quality and it’s exciting to see what potential he has in the future.
