Sheffield Wednesday have been handed a late, and very unexpected transfer boost in their pursuit of Duncan McGuire.

Sheffield Wednesday desperately need to sign a new striker, and the Owls have had one on their radar recently; Duncan McGuire.

The USMNT man currently plays for Orlando City but is reportedly in the UK this week.

He looked set to complete a move to Wednesday’s Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers in a deal worth over £2million, after the Owls had multiple bids rejected.

Now though, Fabrizio Romano says that Sheffield Wednesday are back in talks.

Posting on X last night, transfer guru Romano revealed that Danny Rohl‘s side are now ‘back in talks’ to sign McGuire before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline, after his move to Blackburn Rovers collapsed.
