MORGAN Knowles and Matt Whitley are out of Saints’ 21-man squad for Friday’s away fixture at Castleford Tigers, 8pm.
Tommy Makinson is available for selection after a chicken pox ruled him out of the Hull KR match.
Second row Sam Royle also returns to the 21 and given the back row injuries could get a spot – as could fit-again Jake Wingfield.
Whitley has a shoulder injury and has been to see a specialist and is expected to be missing for at least a couple of weeks.
Knowles had been stood down from training earlier this week due to a slight groin issue which is being monitored.
Coach Paul Wellens expects a different Castleford to the one that started the campaign.
He said: “At the of the this season they were not getting results, but certainly in the last few weeks that’s been turned on its head.
“Leigh is always a very difficult place to go but the way Castleford stuck in that game, despite being 14 points down at one point, was admirable and they got something from the game as well.
“They’re a team that’s obviously in a decent run of form and a team that’s playing with a bit more confidence.
“They are playing free of pressure and certainly challenging teams with the ball.
“Castleford’s form at the moment probably is not reflected where they are on the ladder so we’ll come up against a team that is in form and that’s all that we need to concern ourselves with not where they sit on the table.”
