Chelsea are considering letting defender Trevoh Chalobah leave the club on loan.

According to The Secret Scout, Chelsea are unlikely to find a buyer for Trevoh Chalobah before the transfer window closes and could now allow him to join Bayern Munich or another club temporarily.

Their struggles to sell the centre-back come as no surprise, with the club demanding big money for him.

90min recently claimed that Chelsea want £50m for Chalobah, a fee that Bayern are unwilling to pay.

A loan move would be good for Trevoh Chalobah

Right now, Mauricio Pochettino currently has a lot of options in central defence.

This season, the Argentine has been using Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and new signing Axel Disasi at the back.

He will also have Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana to call upon when they return from their injuries, though it will be some time until the latter is available again.

Ultimately, there is a lot of competition in central defence at Chelsea at present, so a move, be it a permanent or temporary one, may be best for Chalobah.

That being said, despite having worked with Thomas Tuchel before, he may not walk straight into a team as good as Bayern either.
