BRAEKING NEWS: I have to live in Tottenham. I won’t play again

Journalist claims Tottenham is ‘not a healthy environment’ for first-team player

Ivan Perisic should leave Tottenham as soon as possible, according to Croatian journalist Tomislav Dasovic, who wrote this in his column for Vecernji List, because the club’s culture does not support the seasoned wide receiver’s performance.

Ivan Perisic reveals special request he made to Tottenham legend Luka Modric after getting nod to sign

Many would have predicted Perisic to be one of the first players out the door at Tottenham this summer after Ange Postecoglou was hired since the 34-year-old was not thought to be a very good fit for the Australian’s high-intensity style.

However, not only has Postecoglou kept the former Inter Milan at the club but he has also demonstrated that he counts on him, with the player coming on as a second-half substitute in all four of Spurs’ Premier League matches so far.

Perisic shone for Croatia during the international break, picking up two assists and playing a key hand in another goal as the East European nation thrashed Latvia 5-0 last week.

Dasovic thinks Ivan Perisic should leave Tottenham

However, Dasovic believes that the winger, who has 129 caps for his country, should leave the North London club as soon as possible.

He says that Perisic is ‘missing minutes, goals and trophies’ at Tottenham, which is why his career has suffered since joining them.

The journalist adds that the Lilywhites are a club on a ‘downward trajectory’ and the situation there is ‘unstable’. Finally, Dasovic asserts that it is ‘not a healthy environment’ for Perisic and he urgently needs a new challenge elsewhere.

Spurs fans should not pay too much attention to these comments. Dasovic’s words must be viewed in the context of Perisic being one of Croatia’s superstars and the journalist being concerned that he will not be at his best when the European championship rolls around next summer.
